I was looking for God - through
that crusty lens of time - I was sure
he was out there - in the mud or sitting
by the pool - listening to the birds or
just forgetting about it all -
Just to beg for mercy - that's all I was
looking for from him/her - from that busy
place - where I needed it and he/her had
it.
Sure enough I got what I came for - but
couldn't get a fix on the location only
that - the question remained - was it
the good or the bad - or was it just
the need to feel forgiven - so the pain
would go away? The memory fades or
returns. I forget what. Happy to be here
now and happy for that thought.
